The probe wire is thin and easil fits through the seal into the oven. I tried it on a small joint the other day on the pakaging it recommended 60 minutes.However, after 35 minutes it was up to temperature and the alarm went off accordingly. The meat was delicious !! Say goodbye to over cooked meat forever ! Surprisingly, the analogue prestige cooking thermometer that i have reads spot on . The moral of the story is don't assume cos it's digital that it's going to be accurate...even though it says so on the box. I have purchased four of those, so far, and given them as presents to friends that have admired my roast beef or roast pork. Never use time and weight of the meat as a guide. Be careful never to immerse the probe in water, or even worst, put it in the dishwasher, simply wipe it, as water will enter the probe and affect the temperature sensor which is difficult to repair but not impossible. |
